Here are some simple steps to establish if you will be able to see it.

  1. Walk outside
  2. Check for a moon in the sky

If there is in fact, a moon in the sky, then you will be able to see it. You're welcome for the help :).

fuck that dude. real men use telescopes :)

haha i love it on the side it says "Warning: do not look at sun"

NO SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

weeeee, lets massively magnify the energy of the sun right into my eye!

any one who does i have no pity for.

The extra magnification doesn't do anything. It just makes it so you can't see the entire moon at once.

I'll see your binoculars and raise you hot coco.

true. but you can adjust it to however magnified you want it to be. and its more comfortable. take your pick, really doesnt matter.

i fold :(

no hot cocao. i suppose i could go make it with real cocoa/sugar/milk, but thats too much work.

Well, the moon will be completely covered by the moons shadow in T-43 minutes :)

Edit: Except for the ring of course :p

Lucky you didn't catch my bluff. All I have is a package of swiss mix and some (really really old) stale oveltine. You have to check the suits in case it isn't a flush.

i watched it for a few minutes. it was as unexciting as i expected, so i'm glad i decided not to sit out in the -5 degree (fahrenheit) weather. if it's not solar, it's not worth my time.

I saw it, though only for a moment since it was cold as balls. If there hadn't been any street lamps in the neighborhood, it would have been pitch black. Pretty neato.

hey, it might not be that exciting, but its still really cool. Just imagine like 1000 years ago, people would be flippin out because the gods were angry.

i think its pretty tight. and the fact that they can calculate it down so accurately, and know that the next one will be in 2010 to the day is pretty damn cool.

@lesser, you sig intrigues me. care to enlighten me of its source?

I live in the western United States, much of which was covered with clouds last night. I was unable to see the lunar eclipse. Unfortunate indeed.
