Anonymous vs Scientology
Now I don't know about anywhere else, but here in America there's this 'religion' called Scientology. It could be more fittingly called a cult.

This 'church' is considered a joke by almost everyone here. Celebrities convert to it so that they look good and then they promote it, so more people join.
Recently, a group of people called Anonymous has decided to do something about it. Considering Anonymous is a hacking group and this is a hacking site, I figured you might find it interesting.

They are most definately 'tards, but if I had to choose between a world without Anonymous and a world without Scientology, I'd do so in a heartbeat.
Scientology is a blight on this world. And I don't know if it's a problem that could be solved within the legal confines of our systems.
They have shown before, without question, how far they will go to protect their interests.

Anonymous is indeed NOT a group consisting of, "self proclaimed ethical hackers", we are one, we are legion, and the Church of Scientology simply has our attention due to a recent read up on it's suspicious past. As that YTMND told us, there is nothing wrong in believing in a ridiculous Sci-Fi story, but there is something wrong in killing people, harrassing them for money and threatening them - thus, removing what they deem to be their "safety".
Fox News were actually the ones who called us, "Internet Hackers on Steroids", a title we keep close to our hearts.
Seriously, don't delete this just because I said "cox", I was talking about the animal. If it's really against the rules due to the horrendous amount of prepubescent 12 year old boys here, who have never kissed a girl, then by all means edit it. Like I said, I've never had a TV.
But I imagine it would be over used because it fits perfectly for a celebrity's career. (Thinking of someone like Paris Hilton). Then they broadcast they are intelligent and can think for themselves.
95% of the religion might be outliers, but that is separate. I mainly said don't attack the philosophy.

I would've agreed that scientology is a real religion, but the main issue is that in order to be an "operating thetan" you have to go through books and self-help stuff that drains you up.
he's a fraud, a liar and a lousy sci-fi writer. As far as I'm concerned, the shit he tries to pass off as writing is lousy compared to Asimov, H.P Lovecraft, Stephen King, Douglas Adams,Neil Gaiman, William Gibson and Cory Doctrow.
I know because i read the books / stories by the people mentioned above. Once, at a clearance sale, i found one of his titles called Mission Earth. It was so lousy that i think i lost my dignity just reading it. I simply left the book there and hoped that the book will be recycled.

theres nothing wrong believing the writings of a SCI FI author as the truth. the danger comes when they are willing to kill, cheat and lie to protect their interests. scientology is a dangerous cult.
to this day, scientologist's infiltration of the IRS remains by far the largest infiltration of IRS in all history. 11 high ranking scientologists including hubbard's wife were snt to prison for this. (l. ron hubbard the 'prophet' of scientology). in other words, they could see how much money you make etc. assuming you live in the USA.
