but if you were to hack a school how easy would it be? and how would you do it (step by step, and what programs you would use)?

it's not that it's the fact that he should figure it out on his own. learn to use the CMD window and find popular exploits and eventualy create his own.

i just think it's one of the kiddy things to do. ask how to hack a school. but your right he probably wouldn't get flamed if he asked in more detail and provided an explanation of why he needed this specific info if he wasn't going to hack a school network. but really I'm sure there are plenty of articles and other threads that he could have looked at before asking us. he should at least had the decency to Google it first.

When I typed in hacking a school network I got some pretty good results. And maybe he doesn't know but he should ask for a push in the right direction not step by step directions.

nah, seems to be nice and shiny now. less full of people i know though.

oh and to go back on topic. to hack your school;

1. give some details about what in your school you want to hack. like i hack in soccer matches the whole time, but its a slightly differant meaning.
2. learn some programming languages. maybe practice getting around on a CMD prompt like screen. (or BASH for all the linux heads out there)
3. examine your schools site (i presume thats what you mean) for vulnerabilities. i know for a fact mine is just HTML with no interactive input so that cuts out a lot of avenues.
4. profit

seriously if you wanna "hack" your school do a little social engineering i did that like a month ago to my school and got my principals user name and password without doin any work. all i did was call and say "Um yeah this is tech support it looks like someones trying to hack into your username could you do me a favor and log on real quick and change the password." once they doin just ask for it. it all really depends on how stupid the person it is your talking to.
