For Amerikkans:
Happy thanksgiving.
I ask you, at least for today, to please realize how lucky we really are.
How lucky we are to have never known hunger. How lucky we are to have these computers to learn and grow with. How lucky we are to have an education, and an opportunity to further it.
I would ask each person reading this thread, who observes the holiday, to list one additional thing they're thankful for, no matter how small.
Pour moi: Today is the first snowfall of the year. It's beautiful.
<3
I'm thankful that I have the opportunity and ability to do whatever I want to. :)
@ap101: lol you actually put that in your sig? nice xD
In case you guys don't know… Thanksgiving isn't just for Americans…. it's for all those who desire to give thanks. Even tho it was originally designed to be a Christian holiday, anyone can observe the traditions of this day. I live right smack dab in the middle of America. South Central Kansas to be exact. I am most grateful for my friends…. because even when my family seemingly fails me, or fails my "interests", they were always there for me. My education sucks… i hate science, but i am a huge history buff. But that comes from my father being a history teacher, and my mom is a substitute teacher when she isn't being a "paraprofessional" at the gradeschool.
~Thank you lesserlightsofheaven for beginning this thread.
I firmly believe that if we can take time to remember what we have been givin, we can be more humble in ourselves. And when we obtain the ability to be humble, we can more ethical, caring, loving people.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.

I am thankful for the fact that I was able to move to America. It is a great pleasure to feel secure- no need to look over my shoulder every 2 seconds.
I give thanks to my mom for spoiling me when she can. I give thanks to my dad for tolerating me and my personality.
Happy thanks giving everyone. Hope you all enjoy your day.
I give thanks to my family and friend who have put up with my crummy attitude. I give thanks to Mr_Cheese for starting this beautiful website, and I give thanks to my grandmother who always believed in me. I also give thanks to my many teachers at school that have helped me over the years, and made me realise my potential.

THANK YOU!
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, lets all help donate rice to the people who are going hungry today. I even wrote a bot that plays the game continuously and can donate on average 600 grains of rice each hour :D

Couldn’t I just write a computer program to play all day and give a lot of rice that way?
There are two problems with this. First, it overloads our servers so that real people can’t play and learn vocabulary. Second, without real people playing and eventually buying products, it is no longer cost-effective for companies to advertise. Without advertising, we cannot give any rice at all.
You evil evil person :p
First: I'm thankful for my family, even though we seldom get along (haven't had a day without people shouting at each other in over 2 years), because I know they'll always support me in whatever I do.
I'm also thankful for my best friends, Asian, Aryan, Nomus (aka Mexican) and Oreo. Yes, those are their most common nicknames… and I'm "stupid white person" unless I'm helping Asian with physics homework O.O, in which case she's usually quite tolerable.
And about freerice: I'm watching movies on one monitor right now, but the other's empty; I'm quite the English nerd, when I'm not in F-the-damn-English-language-it-makes-no-F'ing-sense mode. I'll donate some rice with my second monitor
Happy thanksgiving all, and to all a good nigh- oh, wait, that's next month. :P
