Possible Schooling? Need Help

Hey all, I know I said I would not make another appearance on HellBound Hackers. But I figured I would came to the place I started and possibly get some help from the people that have helped me. For the people that wonder why the hell I am here. I have totally changed my ways, in no way, shape, or form am I here for "hacking or cracking". I simply want to get some input from a group of people that helped me be who I am today.

Recently I have been looking for a job in the field of software development and find that almost any where you work at in the field, you need to have some degree. So I have decided to get my BS in CS and pull out some certifications on the side.

For you who do not know me, I am totally lecture stupid. I can sit in a class room for hours and not remember a damn thing that was said. So I am hoping to find some online university/college that gives out un-worthless degrees. I have looked at places such as Phoenix University, DeVry University, and some others. So far Phoenix seems like the only place worth while. Currently my mom is getting a degree for nursing threw there online courses, and someone at some apartments I work at is currently getting a degree in networking or some shit.

I had done some research on DeVry and all I could come up with is that they suck. People from all over said that there degrees came up as worthless, employers actually laughed at them when they seen the degree. Others have said the courses are very stupid, very little knowledge is needed. I have also read of people saying that the professors don't even know what they are talking about. Saying that one of the professors was asked a question about a part of a computer in a hardware class or some shit and the professor had no clue what it was or why it was thereā€¦

My question to you people is. Has anyone here taken any online courses? Are you actually learning anything from the courses? Would you recommended the place?

Unfortunately I have made up my mind. It is either college or the Army. I choose the Army because of my past, and with my past I am still not sure if I can get into the Army. I would like to join the Army and become an IT Specialist but the down side is, there is about a 75+% chance that I will not be any where near it. If that is the case, I have too sign a 2 year contract and basically flush my 6 or so years of 10 hour days learning down the drain.

I am half way asleep right now so sorry if a lot of it didn't make since. Not like it would make any since if I was awake any way. :) Had to wake up at 10AM and go prep an apartment to be remodeled. Got hella sick cause my dumb ass doesn't like wearing a face mask and some tiles broke in the bathroom causing hella mold to grow in between the rock wall.

So any help/input would be great.

<Brag>I just recently bought a 22" Widescreen LCD to go with my 19" Widescreen LCD. I switched up to Ubuntu on my main box, still running Debian on my server. Got my 19" on my server, although I temporarily have it on this box set up with a dual session like setup. Basically like running Synergy between 2 machines on 1 machine. I can run separated applications on each screen and simply switch between the 2 by moving my mouse. I kinda like the setup, tis nice having a 22" and 19" I cannot stand CRTs any more. They take up waaaay to much room. Kinda like me taking up waaay to much space with pointless messages like this. The funny thing is I continue to go on even though I know I should stop cause it truly is pointless to write all this stuff, but I continue to write any way. Ok stfu. </Brag>
