Windows Live Hotmail

I'm sure that most people here have been automaticly updated to this new version of Hotmail, don't know about you but I think it's a load of crap and the person(s) that dreamed it up should be sacked for it.

More M$ crap were going to have to put up with. :evil:

And yeah, I hate Live too. Slow, bulky and crap.

The 'inbox' settings have to be set every time you sign in, they don't save, which gets annoying after a while.

All full off bullshit you didnt know you needed, and dont have any option to take out. Since when should you need a fucking Geforce 6+ card just to use your OS, fucking bollocks. Live is the same, if your not on Gigabit internet and running a Quadcore 5Ghz and got 16gigs of RAM your fucked.

I like Office 2007. It's nice, not really slow and I like the new file format. It divides .doc size with two.

Yeah, it has its advanteges, and its not as bad as the other stuff, but its still very demanding, and i find no options to turn all the flashy fadey slidey effects off.

well if ur so upset why dont u just move to something else. there is plenty of open source software.

You can only change back to the old version if you manually upgraded, if your automaticly upgraded you can only switch between the classic and full live hotmail versions.

Because i spent something stupid like a day downloading office 07 and i wanna use it!!!! nah i tried OpenOffice, and to be fair its just shit in comparison, id rather put up with the M'soft crap than that. It just lacks so much that the new office can give, its a real shame its so animated. whats wrong with it just appearing i don't know.

Yeah, Im not against Microsoft, its like people being against Tesco, they still shop there! I really wish that M$ would make their software more customizable, out of the box without cracks and whatever like uxtheme.dll crack, you shouldnt need that.

I've seen this new Hotmail Live look, and I'm not too impressed. My hotmail account is about 6 years old now (holy crap…), and since this current version serves me well enough, I don't see any need to upgrade. Right now, it does all I want. I upgrade, I fear I'll see a Vista.

Within the next few weeks all hotmail accounts are going to be automaticly upgraded, we have no say in the matter.

Yeah i hate the new hotmail it stinks of Microsoft. i got auto downgraded and it sucks ass, and how are people meant to do that tracking challengeQ i cant figure out how to get that groovy little thingo at the top of all my emails back! (sorry about the non technical lingo)

you mean headers right?! anyway, gmail + thunderbird for the win, and since live messenger COMPLETELY buggered, i found amsn, an open source alternative.

Gmail and pretty much anything ftw, really. Sylpheed / Sylpheed Claws is a lighter alternative to Thunderbird. Also, for an alternative to Live Messenger, Pidgin (previously known as "GAIM") is always a free option for handling multiple messenger types.

Oh, and if he meant headers, he could've just said so. My guess is that he was referring to some convenient menu option in Hotmail's UI.
