I am going to mess around with some different linux distros and I am trying to install backtrack 2.0 on an unpartitioned hard drive which is 160 gb and I need some help ive tryed it by myself, then I googled it but only tutorials that came up were dual booting xp and backtrack.

maybe you didnt search enough.. =)

it would only make sense that the creators had a wiki full of information about it no?

after the instalation you might have some problems, drivers, not booting, etc although there's nothing wrong with asking for help here. security-offence forums are full of questions and answers similar to pretty much anything you can come up with so search there first.

that way you wont have to wait for an answer

When I use the command "chroot /nbt/backtrack/ /bin/bash" it says,"chroot: cannot run command 'bin/bash': Permission denied"

Any ideas of how to get permission

Install the beta first. in the final bt2 the lilo is corrupted. or you can even install it and reconfigure the lilo from another cd like slackware.

i've upgraded to the final as soon as it came out and had no problems with lilo..

in fact it recognised vista better than he had xp (weird)
