LiveCD boot problem

hey there wondering if someone could help me out here. I downloaded the ISO images of both Backtrack2 and PHLAX and made them into bootable CDs using Nero but once i have inserted it restarted the computer and come it up with "searching for USB device" (something along the lines of this) and just stops. i was searching around using Google and checking the Backtrack2 and PHLAX websites and it doesn't speak of it anywhere. so if anyone out there could point me in the right direction that would be a massive help :)

Your bios is setted to boot from usb-device or cdrom?

Try pressing F10 during the boot process to choose what device you want to boot from.

maybe you didn't burn the cd right.

for example i use magiciso (free) and i have two options when burning. mode 1 and mode 2xa

and although i have no idea what mode 2xa means if i burn with mode 1 it wont work.

i must have burned like 5 cd's before i figured that out..

on my computer you need to press F8. On dell PCs I believe you need to press F12

Yes im agree whit the bad burned cd opinion. Try to boot the pc whit another livecd or xp cd for example.

You should NOT use Nero's "Burn bootable CD" feature or whatever it's called. Just burn the image as usual and it should work fine ;)

I just use Nero's "Burn image to disc" option, and set the speed to as low as possible. Works fine every time

It sounds like a hardware problem, I'd say the kernel wasn't to hot on supporting your hardware.

doubt it's a bios issue, but it could be, plus, if you do update your bios be careful and do as it says :)
