Linux from Scratch

I know there are many distributions of Linux, but does anyone have any experience creating Linux from Scratch? I was going to create a barebones OS because I would rather do that, than download a minimal install (without a GUI) and manually remove the packages that I do not need.

Know of any good tutorials? Or have any suggestions?

I've actually been working with Arch Linux and I got a system up and running today….lol

It can be tricky to get the VM to use a graphical display because you have to manually implment the display drivers and edit the GUI configuration files to use certain display windows. The display windows are what allows you to launch or display a GUI.

Arch Linux is just like Linux from Scratch.
