At school, i made some annoying little batch files, that basicly just overload the computer, and then send off msg's through the network, whats a good way for me to hide these….like if i was gonna work on the .bat tomorrow, where should i put these .bats, latley i have been just putting them in other kids folerds, i'm hoping they'll open em.

save them as .DAT

that way, it will automatically, make itself hidden.. then, just open up notepad and type in your filename, and it will open.

when you want to run the file, just rename it or save it as a .BAT

changing the file to a .dat file will make it invisible, but it's easy to set all filetypes to be visible, besides, you can just right-click on the bat file, man choose "invisible".

But as it is not so secure, i have a better idea: Make a new folder, and name it as the following:

School Project Movie.{00020C01-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}

Now that folder will look like an MPEG file! If you doubleclick it, it will open Mediaplayer, or whatever default MPEG player on the computer, and if you want acces to the directory: right-click on it and press "open"!

Heres a list of different hideouts:

MPEG: {00020C01-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} Control Panel: {21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} Internet Explorer: {FBF23B42-E3F0-101B-8488-00AA003E56F8} Font: {BD84B380-8CA2-1069-AB1D-08000948F534} Network through modem: {992CFFA0-F557-101A-88EC-00DD010CCC48} Trash bin: {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} Network places: {208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D} My Computer: {20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

I've used this a lot, and it have never failed me…

a word document might be better in school:

homework.{00020900-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}

If you want to find more extensions, you can find them in regedit:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT -> CLSID

If you do that the folder will just have a normal folder-icon…

I personally put anything like that onto my USB pen, meaning I can access it as I want without any risk of the technicians looking at the files, being as htey are not on my user area. As well as that, if a tech tries to do anything then I've found you can get them in trouble for remotely deleting files, as it is your personal property and not on the school server. Also execute from the file, because if you execute and then eject the pen, the admins cant find the file and delete it.
