OS for minibook

I have recently bought an asus eee pc and I am looking to put a new OS on it. It comes with xandros but I would like to change it to a new one. I have the limitation of screen size, though (ram can be upgraded and I can use sd cards to boost memory). I was wondering what you guys think would be good. I have been looking at ubuntu(and offshoots of it), fedora, and freespire. Any other suggestions of good Operating systems that would work well with the minibook?

this would mostly be for surfing, typing, and all around things. I wouldn't be doin much graphic or audio work though.
