im not a big web hacker but i would like to know what gives you errors like this? when u try to access /admin /db or /images files? can it be changed by injection or cookies?

you're trying to access something that's not yours. The laws (in this case, settings) forbid you to access that information.

So you see, it's simply logical for you to get a "FORBIDDEN" answer when you try to access or steal something that doesn't belong to you.

I don't think he was asking for a lesson in ethics,but you did make a valid point netfish :) to answer your(edit-netfish) question,no that can't be changed with any type of injection.You would have to either escalate your(edit-netfish) privileges, or chage the permission to the directory,which would also mean you would have to have admin status.

please, use "your" instead of "you're" where needed. It's nothing personal, but it just bothers me whenever I see something of that nature.

I love how you try and make everyone feel inferior because of a simple grammar or punctuation mistake.Besides this is a hacker site not english class,so why dont you post something useful instead of filling the forums with garbage.

I'm not trying to feel superior, or make him feel inferior. Grammatical errors just bug me.

Even if it's a hacking site, it's good to use proper English. And it starts with habits.

I agree with that, but can you put spaces after your periods and commas… that gets annoying when reading.

I know what you're saying because it bugs me too. I try to use proper grammar in everything, including AIM and MSN, because if you type some crap like, "h0w wuz sk00l t0dAy", how is anyone supposed to know what you mean? I mean, my example was pretty obvious to figure out, but if you speak English and just choose to not speak/write correctly, you shouldn't consider yourself fluent in English.

Honestly grammer doesn't bother me, good or bad. anyway back on topic. when i try to uploadmy own .htaccess it says its not an acceptable file name. Is that because i need to upload it with something specific or is the file manager i'm using just aweful?
