Proxy (strange question)

This is the situation. I got a friend who is admin of a server and he uploaded a proxy php script for me and I got FTP access so I can manually delete the logs if I have to. Now here is my question…Lets say for example go to hidemyass.com (and use their php proxy) via my friends php proxy, will I in practice be hiding behind two proxy's? I know that it slows my connection down a bit but that's fine.

Second question. If the above is true then will I be even more protected if I enter another proxy setting manually in my browser first?

I know this raises the question on WTF do you wanna hack? Well, nothing really. Just doing some research on ways to keep yourself safe. ;)

Hello,

Well, as you said, if your connection is slowed down, it must mean you asre behind two proxy's right? So the anser to that question is yes, you are behind two proxies.

Yes, you ARE behind two proxies, and if the logs are deleted in the first one then anyone trying to track you would be at a dead end. and yes, if you put in a proxy through your browser, then you would be behind three. This is a good idea if you are really going to do something…large scale. Purley for educational and testing purposes of course ;)
