he'll have to use a proxy whenever he connects to the site.

but thats not too hard to do, theres plenty of working proxies around.

Just use tor.

Thats the simplest way to do it, IMO.

Yes… Tor is definitely the 'shiz-nit.'

Tor is too slow for me. Just get a good proxy.

im not entirely shure but i think that opening the command prompt and entering

         ipconfig /renew

might work. if not sorry i wasted your time

his wan is banned, not lan he needs a proxy to get on the site

Blackcat: WAN is a Wide Area Network. LAN is a Local Area Network.

Neither of those are banned from the site (as that would be like banning him based on his MAC address). What's banned is his IP address. If his IP is dynamic, you can change it by requesting a new IP, which for Windows is:

C:&*92;> ipconfig /renew

and in Linux would be:

* ifconfig eth0 down
* dhclient
* ifconfig eth0 up

However, it appears that he may have a static IP (based on the first post in this thread). Therefore, again, I recommend using tor to proxy your connection, and thus be able to view the site.

[edit] Okay, this is stupid. I'm pissed at how the site changes a backslash to :&*92; and a pound symbol (shift+3, the root prompt) to an *. Thats pretty stupid.

Admins, blacklisting doesn't work. White listing is so much better for this type of thing. ;) [/edit]

Just a remark.

Isn't banning of an IP useful? My IP changes every day 2 or 3 times so :p

some dynamic IP's do nto change that much, so there is a chance the people who banned him only banned a section of it that doesnt change, though this is dangerous because it bans a range of IP's

no?

look out for a program called Athena and Charon (by Rhino) it's good stuff for people who want peace ;)
