So, whenever you post a message or do anything on facebook, it keeps a timestamp on it. Somebody sends you a message, and its like "2:31 PM", ya know?

the thing is, when you change your system time, it changes the time that the message was sent. So somehow facebook is reading your system time, which seems to me is impossible? with java disabled, i cannot fathom how it is reading system time.

Your computer sends it's local time in the HTTP request? Seems like the only logical explanation.
