Hacking and port scanner

First off, im looking for a simple IP scanner. i tried Nmap, but it has wayy to many options. I want something that ill type like "scan (ipadress) and it will show me the open ports. Something simple, and preferably a console port scanner.

Also, could it be possible to hack something by going to a prompt, finding the ip adress, port scanning it, finding an open port, or if its protected to gen a password, then downloading some files? just wondering, cuz i hate looking trhough HTML code, and if this is possible are there any challenges like this? thanks!

well to be fair, nmap pisses me off cos it never seems to work on my computer, although i have to agree, the bit at the bottom seems pretty suspicious.

but everyone was a skiddie at some point (well… a un-knowing nub at least).

to quote something someone else said: "ports aren't vulnerable, services are." you're oversimplifying the "hacking" process in your head. there isn't some magic port you're going to find that will let you in. if you hate looking through something as simple as HTML code, you're going to hate this site, and you're going to hate what you're trying to be.
