Windows XP activation hack help!

Recently i downloaded some updates for windows. Now one of the updates installed this windows gen advantage notication which i can't get rid of. Now everytime i boot my computer i get a stupid msg saying you maybe apart of software counterfieting and would like to resolve this or resolve later. Is there a way to somehow disable this? i can still get into windows but its so damn annoying… please help

Yeah my school had that a few months back, cant you just do a system restore and live without the updates?

save it, then change the extension to a .reg file and then double click it.  THis will modify the registry to fix the problem and say you are verified.

I tried that and deleting this wpa file and all what happened was get rid of a little notification in my system tray

but when i boot up windows i still get this stupid message before windows starts either resolve now or later for the fact that your copy of windows maybe counterfiet

Its a problem where Crappysoft decided to delete 600 valid keys in a series, due to people keygenning these serials.

3 options

1. live with it how it is and no updates
2. buy a new serial at $300 a pop
3. install linux
