Common wireless network vulnerabilities

So my college just got a wireless network this week, and my professor asked me to look into testing its security to verify that no one is going to do anything naughty on the new system. I've slowing been reading through a couple of books and websites I found on wireless security, and have found most focus on a home network.

The biggest method most seemed to suggest for ensuring security was to limit which computers could connect. The college can't exactly cut off all but certain computers from the wireless network, because when a student brings in a new laptop, etc it would cause problems.

My basic question is…can anyone point me in the direction of useful books, websites, papers, or anything else on this kind of open network security.

wpa & wep. Those are "password types" you could use. If someone wants to access the wifi spot, they first have to enter a password.

WEP = easy to crack. Don't use this method. Here's a little read on it: http://www.governmentsecurity.org/archive/t15149.html (this is a how-to-crack thingy)

Then you have WPA. There are more than one types of WPA, check em here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wi-Fi_Protected_Access

Limiting the users is pretty useless (securitywise) except if you want to be able to control the bandwith.
