I'm sure you all know about this, ive just installed it, and it looks pretty nifty, some nice looking features.

y quesion however is….. is this this the best way of going about setting up secure proxies for anonymous surfing?

Opinions?

i looked into tor …. but one thing bothered me:

"And remember that this is development code–it's not a good idea to rely on the current Tor network if you really need strong anonymity."

The way I see it, Tor will pretty much guarentee a high quality of proxy in terms of speed and responsivness, but at the moment is unable to guarentee anonymity.

The firefox plugin on the other hand, requires you to manually add the proxies you want to use …. so were back to that whopping great list i keep in my top drawer :( …… but…. you can set it to auto switch between proxies that youve enetered as an when you feel…. and the level of anonymity is pretty much down to the specific proxies that you enter into it.

I think this is likley to come down to a matter of personal preferance … but… id still like to hear other peoples views on how to achieve the best anonymity : usability ratio
