Ethical Hackers on TV
anyone living in the UK or Ireland may have seen the programme on Identity theft on Channel 4 i think. it was on yesterday at around 9.30. the reason i mention it is because it is the first time ive seen a distinction between hackers and white hats drawn in the mainstream media.
it also astounded me how most people dont pay any attention to the most basic of online safety proceedures.
as they say- theres no patch for human stupidity.
Did anyone else see the programme and if yes, what did you think of it?
i saw a bit of it where they were driving around and logging all wireless networks and showing which were and werent secure. i think the fact that people dont secure there wirless in such a heavily populated place is astonishing as its just an invite really for people. even around where i liv in a less densly populated village i can still pick up about 2 or 3 wireless networks from my pc
I found a torrent here if anyone wants to download it (at least it looks like that is it).
I hate those "ethical hackers" from the video, they have no idea what they're on about, and the presenter is a tardcake, "These hackers are good enough to get into any unsecured wireless networks." REALLY?! HOLY SHIT, THEY MUST BE LEET, THEY CAN GET INTO A WIRELESS NETWORK WHICH REQUIRES NO AUTH! And those "ethical hackers" going on about how hackers steal your passwords with trojans, what fags, hackers do NOT do that, SKIDDIES DO THAT.
