Hacker Hall of Fame
I'm at school with a little time to kill so i usually wander the internet for the last hour and i came across this. http://tlc.discovery.com/convergence/hackers/bio/bio.html
from that site a def'n of hacker: hacker n. 1. A person who enjoys exploring the details of programmable systems and how to stretch their capabilities. 2. One who programs enthusiastically. 3. A person who is good at programming quickly. 4. An expert at a particular program, as in "a Unix hacker." 5. [deprecated] A malicious meddler who tries to discover sensitive information by poking around. The correct term for this sense is "cracker."
probably the best def'n i've seen in some time way to go TLC

Claim to fame: The son of the chief scientist at the National Computer Security Center – part of the National Security Agency (NSA) – this Cornell University graduate student introduced the word "hacker" into the vernacular when he accidentally unleashed an Internet worm in 1988. Thousands of computers were infected and subsequently crashed.
um….he "accidentally" unleashed a worm that crashed thousands of computers?!?
