setting up ettercap

Wel I have ettercap on my windows box and also on knoppix std but I want to use it on my windows box, but I cannot run the configure I navigate to the directory try to use it even Makefil.in or Makefile.am what should I do?

I went to downoads and all it had was the source

I have one more question, I watched an ettercap video on milworm and it doesnt say or show what you have to put when you choose unified sniffing. What do I input for it to watch on a person particular computer his IP or hostname? And does this only work on networks or stand along pc' too?
