ok so i have stuck root:$1$yv3Abum2$aBJTZYOFpyHnpbmycH/Nn/ into john the ripper, and although you lot have said its DES JTR says it is FreeBSD MD5. Anyone got any clues? and can someone try and crack it for me plz.
maybe JTR is right maybe it is FreeBSD Md5… so go crack it. If you cant.. thats kind of the poin of the encryption.. so that you cant crack it. :happy:
