Well the topic says it all…What are good books out there that are a good read for hackers? Suggestions about books that are not directly related to hacking as such (c++ manual for example) are more then welcome.

I know that the HACKING EXPOSED series is very intresting and THE ART OF DECEPTION is an excellent manual for social engineering and THE ART OF INTRUSION is a very nice read that has stories of so pritty 1337 hacks.

Any suggestions are welcome! :D

I read hacking for dummies and I thought that as the name suggested, it was insulting to my intelligence. Seriously dude, if you need someone to spoon feed you info like that then you will never get any extra skills except the ones explained in that book.

I'm actualy downloading Web Hacking: Attacks and Defense and hacker web exploitation as I posted this forum so thankx for that one! Any other suggested readings? :)

-the shellcoders handbook. -inside the network:what hackers don't want you to know. -how to own a continent.

there are lots of em…to much to list here.

if you really want to learn to hack:learn to program.

Hm, I just use W3schools for most of my information lol. So I can't really recommend a lot of good books.

Visual Basic 6 for Dummies is good (only for a complete begginner)

Check out my siggy for all the ebooks you will ever need. :)

I understand what you mean. It was like that for me at first. But its a lot better than having to pay money for the books! So that made me get used to it pretty fast. :D
