it looks like hex….. but when i try to convert it into ascii it give me giberush

i'm getting it from ethereal trying to get a password hash to bruteforce

heres a screenshot

if any one can tell me the magical 16 charicters that i'm looking for that would be GREAT also if you wanna include how you got it.

btw i know it's md5 hash but i can't find a way to crack it, that's what i'm looking for…. sorry i'm tired

if u delete all the spaces its the size of an MD5

ya it's md5 allright…. does any one know a good progam to crack it within a few weeks on a P4 HT 3.7GHZ 2gb ram machine?

md5decrypter.com or just Jake's aimbot are both good, but cain is sweet two. The whole exponential years remaining thing isn't actually true.

So is that the actual hash in the packet? Can you pm me with how you found that?

Jake's bot (To my knowledge) is offline at the moment.

Personally, what's wrong with using good ol' JTR?
