I’ve read the article’s about hacking the school’s network, and I’ve also tried stuff like using a proxy or using the IP address. None of this works. For starters, the school doesn’t allow me to open any html files, let alone a BAT file that will open up the command prompt. Also, if I paste an IP into the browser, it just refuses to load. The security people work very well, and if I log in somewhere or just go to a site like this, if I follow any links or anything, they will automatically give me browser errors. I don’t want to do anything malicious, I just don’t have internet access at home (thanks to my Mom installing a keylogger, checking my email, and realizing I had subscribed to several pr0n e-zines), and this filter is really pissing me off. It doesn’t even allow me to read the article on wikipedia about pr0n in Japan. I could SE my way into getting the passwords, but the problem is the usernames. Everyone has a randomly assigned number for their username, and I don’t think that I SE my way into getting those. Help, please, good people of HBH. Also, on a completely unrelated topic, is there any way that I can click on a button and like, subscribe to a topic so that when I log on I can easily just go to a page with all of my subscribed topics and click a link to get them, because this place seems to move as fast as 4chan, and I can almost never find topics that I have subscribed to.
No, although I see how you would get that. I just want to get information. SO many Wikipedia and Encyclopedia Dramatica links are blocked. The filter even blocks the List of Manga, because some idiot added manga like Slut Girl to the list. Also, I would like to access the Iichan and 4chan forums unhindered by filters that will stop me because of excessive use of swearwords.

Anywho. The simplest solution is a USB disk drive, or even simpler, downloading Firefox or it's Portable variation from Sourceforge and using a proxy. The chances of SourceForge being blocked is quite low, in my opinion. There's also several other ways you could get a proxy to work, assuming you're not on a limited user account.

my advice to you, is to not be lazy. take ever oppurtunity you get to get free info when ur at school. just looking in recent documents i find alot of INF files with names, passwords, product keys, and so on. u just gotta know what cpus the admins use. and once u do all this. If u dont wanna get raped of ur high school credits i suggest u dont do anything malicious because theres so many security programs and logs running on most big networks that if u can be traced to have used a computer even by a piece of paper that the monitor makes u sign when u use the lab u can be caught. and owned.
One thing that I did at my school which worked (Besides booting Torpark from a Flashdrive) is simply go to google and search for www.stupidcensorship.com. Then click on cached which should load the page and the url bar on the site which should bypass the filter.

I was a sys admin at a univ. and if the admins there are as good as this guy thinks then looking at pr0n on a school computer will only get you in more trouble than you could ever want. I never understood why people want to hack school computers other then to try and possibly change their grades. Which most people won't be able to do successfully anyways. And to look at pr0n is just plain stupidity. You might be able to load a browser from a flash drive and connect to a proxy but I'm almost certain you had to login to access the pc in the first place. WHICH IS GOING TO BE LOGGED!! So if you do look at something bad or do something bad then you will be logged on that pc. You don't know how many countless people I have busted just for this particular reason. I would suggest saving your time and just do it from your home pc where the consequences from the wrath of your Mom will be much less in the end. Just my 2 cents on the topic, but then again I've been drinkin.

Seriously, I'm not going to look at pr0n. I may look at it at home, but these are public property, and if I looked at pr0n at school it would be like giving the finger to the taxpayers that pay for the school's computers. I just hate this censorship, especially of good information. I've gotten to the command promt, but here's what I get: C:\WINDOWS\Desktop>CMD And then, when I try using some commands, it says that the program is terminated. I'm on a Win.98, so things might be different on mine then at some rich ass school that has XP Prof.What should I do to fix this so that I can use the command promt? I tried several different methods, but none of them seem to work. The best was when I saved the file as cmd.exe and then put CMD in the text, and the worst is when I left it blank and saved it as cmd.exe.
Y dont u jus set up an ssh server (www.rootshell.be) and tunnel through it using portaputty. If udont know what one is then my advice is either get some help from some1 who knows computers or buy pr0n magazines instead. If ur that desperate for pr0n that you wud go on it at school anyway its obvosly gotten out of control and become an addiction. The other option is try get the internet back at ur home
