Snooping parent Problem

My dad recently found out that I go on HBH. I've found out that hes been trying to get into my email accounts and history. I also know he tried to find a program to get passwords and I think theres a keylogger coming up. I've changed my passwords so he dosn't know them but how do I prevent upcoming problems with my dad? How do I stop him? Thanks.

Seriously though, that sucks… I spose the only thing you COULD do is routinely scan for programs and stuff and delete them when you find them… Or you could ask him why and go off that to try and prevent it.

bring up your task manager, and check the processes, anything that looks like a keylogger browse for it, see if there are any txt files around where the keylogs will most likely go in. if you see the keylogger running then simply disconnect it and delete the files.

most keyloggers are invisible in the task manager. Get ewido. It'll find anything, even if it isn't gonna be installed untill a nother 2 years. Seriously, it told me I had a virus, but I didn't, then a week latere, I got the virus, but thanfully good 'ol ewido took care of it.

program up a fake virus, install it, complain that some 31337 h4x0r got into your system by bundeling a virus with some programs, this works especially well if he uses the computer aswell :happy:

Well trying to uninstall or deleted the keylogger they want to install is giving a reason to his parent to keep the keylogger. The best you can do his talk to them and ask them why they want to spy you and try to convince them its not necessary, be honest don't lied. If my parent knew i'll explain them. Don't be afraid to confront them, unless they have a very very very very conservative mind and don't care of what your saying, witch i hope isnt your case.

Put as password on your signon account, and problem solved. Well, considering your dad doesn't have an intermediate level of windows knowledge, or the root account.

Worse comes to worse, get a job, and buy a box for $100-200USD.

Explain to him everything. Wat a hacker is and stuff, and then, tell him, "Wait, is tht a keylogger on my machine? Well thats a hacking technique,,, retrieving passwords… ya….. DAD! YOUR A HACKER! " or something. lol. If the logger is installed, go nuts looking for the log files and deleting them. Or replacing them, using same formats and times… I personally like the hammer

Save all your notes in a text file with a pretty good encryption, and ofcourse a password security system.

There's only one prob, if your dad installed a keylogger, he can see what you type. So I advise you to code a program in visual basic that replaces the keyboard input with another letter, I will be happy to code it for you, it's very nifty xD. Your dad sees you typed "E" but actually you typed "Y", for example.

Well I think the only solution that will last is talking to your parents about hacking. And not "… Dad, it's something I think you should know about me… I hack." (Sounds like explaining that you're homosexual :p) but just make it sound good.

My parents know I'm into hacking, and they find it good, since I can always fix their computer (and their friends' computers) when something happens. Make him understand that you're a part of a computer culture based on knowledge, friendship and freedom. You know your dad, so I think you know how to make things sound good in his ears ;)

Don't hide and be ashamed of being a hacker. That won't work in the long run.

wellit depends of what your dad is like, if he is not corrupted by the medias (like mine used to be :D) then just explain him that without hackers, internet, Windows, and all the programs he enjoys using wouldnt exist, tell him that there are good and bad guys like in everything, if you live in US and he likes guns tell him that it's just like him having guns: doesnt mean he will break into a store or bank and rob it.

Finally if he really wants to install a keylogger that works good and is invisible he will have to pay for it (I dont think he will dl a crack for it :P), and at least that's sumting that might hold him from buying a keylogger.

What you can do if talking wont solve anything: make it so the sesion he uses doesnt have admin rights and put a pw to be the admin.

If he knows about comps: Dl a keylogger and install it b4 he does. anyway if you have an average anti virus it should give you warnings about the keylogger runing no matter how hidden it is.

Finally: dont give up :D hacking is a pation, trust me on this one, ur dad will give up first :D worked fine with me.

Hmmm…Good ideas, I think I'm gonna use them. I'm gonna also try to explain to him that i just want to be a true hacker. A true hacker just wants to learn everything so it'll be good for school and I want to build things (not harmful to anyone).

How about you lock your dad out of the computer? Just change the log on password(s) so only you can access the computer. Tell your dad you'll grant him access again once he stops being a douche.

I'd gather it doesn't quite work that way, considering you'd have to clear the passwords for accounts to reset them, in order to gain administrator access, and what parents can do outside of the computer are overwhelmingly worse.

Ok my dad has this internet server called "Netgear". And my internet connection runs on the same he has. So he can block sites from his computer to mine. He can also like log my computer from his too! And he actually bought Netgear so I don't know what to do! Please help!

yea google for it, my parents got a dlink one, I haxed it xD. Also I doubt it will block it since it's a frame. that is not even loaded to the website. that website is btw vulnerable to RFI xD

get the model of the router and look in google for docs about how to hack it, it probably has known vulnerabilities

Seriously. You're not going to learn if you don't do your own research. There's a realistic mission (more or less) based on this.

I'm 14 and my parents probably wouldn't like the fact that I talk with real black-hat hackers (personally, I'm a grey hat - I would only hack into people's computers for fun and not destroy or steal anything). Here's a quick tip, though. For your files, store all your stuff on a Zip disk, USB drive, or Memory Card or something and keep it in a safe place. That's what I do, even though I don't think my parents are actively searching or snooping my computer for porn and hacking stuff. Keep this as your rule of thumb: You're parents won't suspect anything unless you give them something to suspect. In other words, cover your tracks and traces, and your parents will be none the wiser.

Here i have a program called privacy guardian check it out on download.com and that will clear all your net history and about the keylogger unless he is going to buy one i think a decent virus protection tool will handle any new ones try NORTON

honestly… norton sucks x_x, try to dl Kaspersky. I was once runing tests with a hacker friend, I opened a coneccion to her comp with nc and she installed her shells in my computer to gain full access and be able to use cmd as she pleased.. Kaspersky detected the shells and nc as having troyan behaviour. Norton and Mcafee didnt when we ran the tests.

dont delete logs. See if you can edit them so that it looks as if you havent been on hbh… Or if you got a modem supplied with your isp use that. Then all you need to do is link it up and your good to go…;)

ping hellboundhackers.org

then copy and paste the ip address you get into the url bar. then you surf to the site easy peasy. and get firefox if you dont already have it. soo mcuh easier to delete tell tall traces.

well, you can bypass it using a web proxy such as http://anonymouse.org or any CGI Proxy or a PHProxy

Anonymouse dosn't work see heres how the blocking thing works. Lets say he puts the word "google" into the blocking list. Then every site that has the word "google" in the url bar is blocked.

Now on topic. The easiest way to by pass those simple filters is to use IP address instead of the sites dns resolve. This was already stated but there is more to it. The other option is to try to totally bypass the router. there are ways. I will not discuss them in here but I am sure if google is not blocked you could find a way. and remember the number of sites blocked on a hardware fire wall is limited so there cannot be a universal block ;)

have you tried bypassing the whole thing by going around the router? if you have a laptop just go by the inet source and hook in through your ethernet card, otherwise if you have a PC buy a LONG ethernet cable and run it to your comp, when your parents arent awake or there. its a temp fix, but it doesnt do it all the time, i.e. when your paretns are around.

Lol. I had this trouble, quite the annoyance. Go onto google (im guessin ur dad aint blocked that) and search 'dtunnel'. I use this at college. You can access anytin on the web through their site. and they use encryption in the URL so any porno or game sites wont even appear in the URL.

It's a linux LiveCD… Runs the operating system from a CD without leaving any evidence on computer… However a hardware firewall may still block the sites so it might not work… And if your parents see you using Linux they'll probably get suspicious and ask questions about where and why you got it.

You can to this by downloading a live linux distrobution iso image(knopix is good) then burn it to a cd. Reboot your computer with the cd in the drive. This will start Linux without you ever having to install it. :) Hope this helps :)

you could install the 'hideBad' extensoin for FireFox. ich leibe es! with one click it clears you cookie, history, saved form information, saved passwords, download history, cache, and searchbar history(but you can choose which ones you want it to clear)

it also closes all of your tabs and takes you to your homepage!

but you can left clickt he hideBad icon and recover all the tabs you just exited out of!

steps to Burning: 1.install alcohol 120% 2.click Image Burning Wizard 3.browse for the location of the ISO 4.click next 5.then select your cd burner drive Usally D or E 6. click start 7. kick back and let it burn(if your dad asks what your burning tell him its your favorite band or rap artist

Running: 1.Restart your Computer 2.When your computer first comes back on you should see the black sceen showing a memory test and telling you its memory the second you see this start slamming DEL,ESC,F6,F7,or F9 if done correctly a screen should apear Welcome to bios my freind look for somthing called Boot Order or Bootup Order once you find it 3.change it to boot from CD-ROM first then HDD-01 or main HDD 4. save changes 5.reboot

inside Knoppix if everything went well you should be inside knoppix but your not done yet

google the site you wanna visit and look for at the results there should be a cached link CLICK IT and that page should be avalible for view

now goto start>programs>accesoires>acessiblity>Onscreen Keyboard to my knoledge most keylogers moniter input of the keyboard it self so you should be able to click the buttons and not get logged anyways now

NOW using that techniquie Google FREE PROXYS or PROXY LISTS click the chased link

and copy and past all the proxy ressults you can into a text file

now you got 2 options here

FireFox or Internet Explorer

in FireFox Click Tools>Options>Connection Settings..>Manual Proxy Configuration

check the box that says Use this proxy server for all protocalls also clear out the text field that says No Proxy For:

in Internet Explorer Tools>internet Options>Connection>LAN Settings>Use Proxy server for your connection

and try entering a proxy like that

Finding that Log File open notepad and type ilovesupercoolpornlol now copy that next open search and select all harddrives usally C and D then paste ilovesupercoolpornlol into the Contianing Text Feild and set . as filename then hit search minimize it and play solitare or somthing when its finished you should have the log file if not..it was worth a shot

WTF thats fubar man there is only one other way then that i can think of a virus on his pc one that wipes his HDD then you would be free thats a bit extreme but using a exebinder you can copy the exe that your dad uses to run the blocks and bind it with a deadly nuke and when he tries to block you BOOM or try shorting out the router itself or if you ever get any free time then take it apart and cut a wire inside or sabatoge it i rember i nuked my dads pc when he found my backup porn floopy it gave me just enough time to format it

Yeah, I have a similarish problem with my dad, he's always checking what I'm doing. He doesn't really care about the hacking 'n' stuff though 'cause it was kind of him that started me off with it (he introduced me to a PC hahahahahha)

I just clear my history often, and invest in a program called "folder lock". It makes certian folders require a password before you can enter them or see anything inside them, of course if you use a live linux disk this can be easily bypassed.

use guardster.com, if thats blocked. use php and learn cURL. make your own proxy, and it shouldn't be blocked.

What service provider do you have? If Comcast set the router up then the username is "Comcast" and the password is "1234" or if you need the Comcast tech CD PM me and once you get in put yourself IP in DMZ-zone to bypass the routers firewall…

If you cant get in have you tried changing your MAC address Im not sure how he has it set up but that may work.

Your MAC address has nothing to do with any of this. It is used on an Ethernet network (in conjunction with your IP address) to route data.

I honestly can't be bothered to read this entire thread, but perhpaps you should thing about getting your own computer (preferably running some form of *nix)? Also, while you're at it, pick up a book, and start reading. Read some RFC's learn a few programming languages.

Stop posting for help here, and go talk to your parents. Explain to them that you're a 'whitehat', blah blah blah, just want to learn, blah blah blah, won't break the law, blah blah blah. Then in a few months time, you'll realize that whitehats are morons, and the security industry is corrupt. ok is this wireless cuz if it is then you might be able to run Airsnort for a while and might pick it up also try running cain and able on his pc that lil bugger usally picks up some nice passes and also try guessing the password i mean he is your dad you should know some shit about him i found out recently my dad has been using my password letmein kinda ironic but his email is no longer privite hehe and belive me hes quite a perv hehe even more than me lol
