is the error message i get when ever i use any proxy number ever… yes im on firefox and im getting the ips from proxy4free and i cant view ANY WEBSITE. wtf.
i use these,with firefox.
http://www.publicproxyservers.com/
they don't always work.but i always find some that will. not every proxy is the same.for example, not all proxies will retrieve websites, using the java platform,or whatever it's called for you. so you end up with an error. i've never had dns problems, just that proxies don't retrieve anything. then i find another one, untill i find one that does.
hope this is of any help.
regards…
I've never had any trouble with the proxies from http://www.samair.ru/proxy/. Some work and some don't. Usually, I find the chinese proxies to work the best. And don't use crap like anonymous. Just go into your (FireFox) tools, options, general tab, connection settings, then type in the ip address and port number and click ok. If it doesn't work, change back to direct connect and try another one. For quicker ip switching, try FoxyProxy, a downloadable extension for FireFox.
