Free Web Hosting/Domain

Does anyone know, what a good free webhosting provider is? I need it to be free, with no or limited ads. And everything has to be free. I knoww, it sounds cheap. But I don't have a job. Can anyone help me out?

and you dont be able to find domain names for free.

guys im in a similar situation exept i have a job :D:P i can spend about $5 - $10 a month on a server. must get php / mysql support. were would you recomend?

Impossible is nothing. I have come across some sites that offer good deals of that which I want. The catch is, and there is always a catch. The site itself is low budget. I do have to agree on what Mr_Cheese said on the more you pay the better the service.

Subdomains are fine, I don't need PHP or MYSQL either. Right now I am stuck with freeservers. Although I have a site that I do pay for on DotEasy (terrible hosting package btw) I will take into consideration sites for limited fees with great benefits. Such as LunarPages FREE domain for life, or something of that nature. I was also wondering if anyone ever had luck with Host Gator or AwardSpace.com.
