IIS 5 Hacking

Im having some trouble in Saving files using web folders to IIS 5 servers I just want to have some experience in IIS 5 hacking so i found a simple server that had it I went to web folders and made a copy of the index file and pasted it to the adress I just made a minor change to the origanal index file so i could tell if it worked I tried it to many servers but everytime i got - an error has occured copying files.. ect. Is it just these servers or have they fixed the IIS 5 problem oh and some servers required usernames and passwords

IIS 5 has a published exploit that allows you to gain root really simply.

it involes you to compile some C code and run that along with netcat.

cant remember its name, but you might wnat to read that C code, that be interesting.

I was reading about it from the zine does that work anymore or have they fixed it?
