Wow, today i found out how retarded people can really be. Today I was at a coffie shop with my laptop when I noticed they had blocked HBH!!!! first of all I almost cried but then I made it my mission to unblock it! first I tried a remote version of JTR but found out it would take about 18 hours on a password list so I had to find alternative means….. when nothing came to mind i decided to try the default password for that router…… it worked…. and I was amazed. I unblocked all the "hacking" related keword filters and what not so now people that go to noshville coffie shop in west michigan are free to visit this great site!

please post any other "stupid" hacking stories you have.

Did you use Nmap to portscan the IP range, and then connect to the router on port 80? Then use the default router pass… Yes, it can be really easy, as ISPs distribute routers w/ easy and default passwords.

ya i connected on port 80 via browser, but i didn't have to use nmap to get the ip i just saw assigned me as 192.168.1.103 so i figured the router would be 192.168.1.1 because that would be the first ip
