I have a Charter (Ambit (i think)) 60678EU modem. Ive never really done anyhting like this so any help would be great.

just a warning, if your caught (it's very easily spotted) they'll probably cut your service perminantly.. I've read tons of stories about this when I was researching how to do it…

ya but I'm moving out of state soon so I'm not too worried about it. The ISP I have now isnt even available where I am going

Hi, I DID find some sites and some ready to do proggy on the net that did exactly this. I tried it, but it didn't work as I use win98. It uses the netsh command in XP(and other NT-based Windows versions I think) for changing the current IP or somethin'. Anyway, it would be really bad if they caught you.
