A theory I have to make yourself untraceable
Ok, I started thinking about this. I was going to put a trojan on my grandmas computer so I could use it to download files to her harddrive from my house so I don't waste my bandwidth, and then when I go to visit her I could transfer what I downloaded from her hard drive to my Ipod, or jumpdrive ect. But then I got this idea, what if I installed like for example Radmin on her computer, and used that to compromise a system by controlling her computer, and then upload and execute an .exe app that completely deletes the Radmin RAT?
It would show up as the attack coming from her computer, and the RAT would be gone, and for added security I could use TOR with Radmin.
I'm thinking this would be extreamly difficult to trace.
thoughts?
thank you.
Well I know my grandma is not going to know, because she is VERY computer illiterate, I have to explain it to her every time I go to her house how to load pictures off of her digital camera, and she can never remember, and I swear I have had to explain it and show her over 5 times and she still cannot do it…
About the logs, yes that would be another hurtle to take care of, that most likely easily could be taken care of by uploading and executing a .exe to delete them.
And I can't simply ask her to use her computer for downloading, because she thinks I am downloading MP3's and stuff and am going to get busted. She sees the media about people going to court and its embedded in her mind that downloading is evil and if you do it you will end up in prison for the rest of your life. Media brainwashed authority figures!!!
