Haha, big site got owned

Haha, recently one of swedens biggest sites www.bilddagboken.se got hacked and they managed to steal ALL passwords xD

Mustve been some good hackers to hack such a big site

Haha yeah I know, since I'm from Sweden almost all my friends have an account there lol (not me though, they've got hacked so many times I don't trust them :p )

Bild = image/picture dagbok = diary

It's like a photo album blog :)

Something like that. You upload photos and/or text and people can see and comment it.

My translation of the news post on Bilddagboken:

One or more persons have intruded Bilddagboken's system and retrieved a database copy from May 2007. The copy contains among other things passwords for diaries and email addresses. We take this incident very seriously and to stay secure we have changed your password to a new one (read more below). If you were using the same password for other sites we recommend you to change your password there as well, for example email and MSN. Immedeatly change your Bilddagboken password and remember not to change back to your old password. We're working hard to investigate this matter.

my site must be pretty vulnerable….. someone should hack it. i just put up forums… idk, its not really a site it was more like a refreshment of knowledge, if anyone can they can hack it XD!

It was kinda funny when this happened. And it's pretty bad of the admins to let this happen. I have an account there, but I hadn't joined back in May. :D But I changed my password anyway, just because. :P

Yeah i have an account there, althou i don't know how they managed to crack the damn pieces :S Since bilddagboken uses a pretty.. fucked up password algorighment:

They store half the MD5 hash and compare to the md5 hashed password that was entered, and that's how they hacked it. They found a hash that was perfectly compared to the admin password and made a database copy, fuckin loser admin's there :/ Althou i think they use my algorighment now instead :D

There is a swedish torrent site where someone shared a list of cracked passwords from the site, althou the admins fixed it after 2hours.
