The numbers are generally just version numbers/release dates.

I telnet to my server then

Hit enter…

and


connection to host lost

press the any key. ```

Oh… that's why. You're a genius. Seriously, how could it possibly be your server when you make a basic mistake like that? Telnet != SSH.

i have a practice server setup and suse 10.2 and i have a site on it on my local network and i'm play with ssh, telnet, ftp

But i didnt leave telnet up because i could just use arp psn to get password on telnet and also it is in clear text.
