anyone good with macs?

at my school they have a network with mainly iMacs and a very few number of PCs… um i was wondering how u get admin powers? i cna access quite a bit… like my computer, i can see the contents of the drives (but i cant move anything) anyone know how to do this?

i have read a couple of articles on it but they either

1. relate to windoze 98/2000 or
2. confuse the hell outta me

im stupid so if somone could point me in the direction of a simple guide it would be nice =D

(when i say im simple i mean it… im stuck on basic 5 atrm LOL)
