The programming challenge " MSN / AIM Bot " is officially closed, the winner is Jake. The only participant and he coded it in PHP. Jake recieved 100 points for it.

Get ready, root wars will arrive soon, start training to beat this challenge, the point value for the challenge has not been decided yet, but it will be more than 100. There challenge will be like King of the Hill, you will get in and try to lock out everyone out. If you would like to expose your box and have it as part of root me just for few days, please contact Grindordie or Thousandtoone.

oooo you know what would increase participation? IF PEOPLE ACTUALLY KNEW THERE A BLOODIE CHALLENGE! I never even knew this was going on, thats why you only have one person submitting only about 5 people realise theres challenge :P

well, we do have a "programming Challenges" section on the right panel, and its annonced in the news!!.. would a panel on the main page "current programming challenge:" help?

no but more then a line reading 'new programming challenge' on an old news post would help.

Actually, I tried getting competition and was able to get about 20 people to try… nobody else was able to figure out how to do it though ;)
