Slightly different this time. Im accepting anything. Any kind of program. It doesn't matter what language or what it does. Heres how its going to work. 1) the program needs to work and be coded by you. 2) It needs to be handy and useful in everyday tasks on the computer. 3) harder languages get more attention towards scoring.

Comp dates: 9/20/06- 10/20/06
Points:
1st place 80 pts! 2nd place 60 pts 3rd place 50 pts 4th place 20 pts 5th place 15 pts
All other applicants get a minimum of 10 pts if your program is accepted.

I just wanted to check whether the program we code should be more based on what hackers would user, or just a normal person using a computer.

If you enter more than one code and one finish for example 4th and the other 5th do you get points for both ? When is the deadline ?

Top 5 will be different members at each stage to make sure no1 gets double points. If you do get points for one program though you will NOT recieve points for winning another place or just 10pts for entering. You ONLY get the highest ammount you win. Good Luck :)

I have started writing my code already. Should hopefully be done by next week. Nothing extraordinary but useful none the less.

Another question… Would it be ok if we used already made programs part of our larger program.

mm are those ready made progs by you ? it should be a personal work :P anybody could get programs' source codes and put them together in an app..

Well the thing is I was thinking of making like a hacker's tool with lots of different tools in it. I was definately going to code the entire thing myself, but some of the individual programs i would just encorporate them like Ollydbg, etc. Could I do something like that or just those types of programs out.

Can't you please put some kind of page where we can see all people whose submissions have been accepted? :right: It would make me sleep better :happy:
