… One thing worth mentioning is that if you get an IP beginning with 169...* it won't be able to connect to any other computer on the network. 169...* addresses are assigned when the computer doesn't get a respond from the DHCP.

@mambo: Articles should teach something new,. There's no point making articles about how to set an IP, rename a file or other basic Windows functions - everyone already knows this…
