How To Use Proxy!

Proxy\'s are quite simple. A proxy in my opinion is like a condom for hackers. lol. A proxy is something to hide your ip. Do not worry, using proxy\'s are not illegal. All they do is give you another ip for as long as you want. You can take it on and off when you like. Like a condom. :P. The definition of a proxy is: Server placed between a user\'s machine and the Internet. It can act as a firewall to provide protection and as a cache area to speed up Web page display. Yes I got it from google. Google is good. Google.com. Anywho! I will now teach you how to use a proxy in firefox. Firefox is a internet browser, just like internet explorer. (Just leeter). Most \"hackers\" and \"crackers\" use firefox. Dont have it? Download it here(Its free): http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/. Comes for Linux, Windows, Mac OSX etc etc.

What you do is go to a simple site such as: proxy4free.com. Best proxy site I have used. Grab one of those numbers that look like this : 80.80.12.124. Next to it, it says \"Port\". You will need that too. So go to the top tab in firefox and click Tools> Options> General> Connection Settings. Click \"Manual proxy configuration\". Clicking this will make more boxs below open up for use. You dont need to fill in all those. All you need to fill in is. \"HTTP Proxy\", put the ip you grabbed and put it in there.

80.80.12.124

It should like like the figure above. Not exactly just put your number in there. Then It will say port right next to it like this:

80.80.12.124 8080

It most likely will look like that but with different numbers. Each proxy has its own area. So dont worry. Then all you have to do is click "OK" and heres the easiest part. Surf the web! But you dont need a proxy unless your about to "hack" a site, which you shouldnt do anyways. Or if your going to a page that you dont trust. You can do a lot with a proxy. Thats another topic for another article. Thanks guys, hope ya liked it!

Decent for those who do not know what a proxy is. a little bland though IMHO since I have been using this information through more than just FireFox. Perhaps make one on proxying your entire operating system? Just a thought.

mm figure out what data is sent to the proxy to instruct it what info to get and where to get it from, and telnet to the proxy on its specified port and manually send that info, and it will get what you request it and forward it to you.. havent tried or read about it, but seems logical enough…or you can make a gateway for your connection(i have no idea about that, might be totally wrong)
