This is how an anonymous/elite proxy works

The proxy intercepts your data, then sends it to a website, The website recieves the proxy's data (IP, ect) instead of yours. The website sends its data to the proxy, the proxy sends it back to you.
To set one up
go to: http://www.proxy4free.com/ http://www.samair.ru/proxy/ http://www.publicproxyservers.com/
Any of these sites work

To a certain degree your right… but this won't hide your real ip from sites.. .. all it will do is go around something like "squidguard" or whatever site blocker at school/lib/cybercafe/etc. Also you should mention TOR (YOU _____ TOR NODE_______ TOR NODE ________ TOR NODE _____ YOUR TARGET WEBSITE) check out my article for more info homies. :) 3/5

this is a pointless idiotic article that basically is just a bunch of links to proxy sites…

you also have to realize as well that it might take 15 or 20 tries to get a proxy that actually works at a halfway decent speed and that these proxies are not gurranteed for forever…i used a proxy when i was in school and of about 300 proxies i had, maybe a handful were good,solid proxies for a few months….so just putting in a proxy wont work as easily as planned..so be prepared to have a huge list of proxies printed out and hope u dont forget them somewhere;)

You could also download "phproxy" and put it on your webserver, even simpler than what you're suggesting.
