School Network Hacking

School Network Hacking

Howdy Everyone

This tutorial is for those newbies out there, wanting to "hack" their school.

Im gonna start by saying, if your going to hack the school, theres a high probability your get caught, and dont do anything dumb like deleting the network. Its lame, and you will get flamed for doing it. This hack will only allow you to hack the computer at a terminal connected to the network. If you want to remote hack your school, ask google.

Firstly get a feel for the layout of the network.. you can do this quickly by:

Start > Programs(Right Click) > Explore

this will give you a map of the network, and you'll probably be able to edit and run files this way, but with DOS theres more options…

The basics for school hacking is accessing the command prompt, and 90% of school will have blocked this.

So to get around this you can do two things:

  1. input this into the IE address "C:windowssystem32cmd.exe"

however this is very likely to be disabled.

  1. Creating a Bat file to open Command Prompt.

You can do this by, opening IE > view > source.

once you have notepad open, where gonna make a .BAT file.

we want the BAT file to open up command prompt, so we type:

"CMD" without the "" press ENTER then save it as file.BAT.

Now you should be able to open Command Prompt by clicking on the file. If it fails to open, it is most likely that the CMD.exe is disabled and you dont have the privilages to run it.

So try using the file COMMAND instead. This does not have the same power as CMD, but is better than nothing.

Once we have it open now comes the good bit….

Before doing this, make sure you know a good lot of DOS commands.

Heres a great list www.computerhope.com/msdos

These are a few that you might like to try:

Net send * "Mr_Cheese is cool"

Shutdown -s -f -m &*92;NAME - rarely works

These will only work if you have the privilages to use them.

After you have access into Command Prompt, to get access to some programs that you are not allowed to use, DIR for Shortcuts (lnk). Then save them onto floppy disk. A shortcut is good, because it is smaller and quicker to save than a whole exe file.

There is also a good chance that the network will have RAT's installed. A RAT is a (Remote Administration Tool). Used by Admins to manage networks… a bit like a friendly trojan.

This shouldnt be hard to find, and once you have found the EXE or LNK save it to a floppy, - Now you have control over every computer!!

You could use the RAT to use the admins machine, here possibilites are endless!

If you have any question ask google.

A LNK file says where the real EXE is stored, it wouldn't do jack shit.

Getting into command prompt isn't hard, but once your there, so what? You're leet now. Use .reg or .vbs files to edit the registry, batch files for whatever, (good method for Pinball, find the directory and open it in cmd,) or whatever. The biggest thing is using the EDIT program in CMD. With school blocks like this, you usually don't have direct harddrive access, only an NFS directory for your account. CMD gets around this.

Another thing is using USB thumbdrives, use it to install applications. Install it to the drive, and let the registry change anyway.

Our school restricts the command prompt and "start"

Simple batch file to make (if you can't get to notepad the normal way go into IE and go to the source code view :)

If you need to use cmd but its restricted you simply need to creat a shortcut and type cmd or command in the location box and that should work

My new school sux. They block everything (even piczo…. bypassed) and there is no desktop for students, no start menu etc. If your school is like this and you made a .bat, best way to open is is to use the address bar in IE (they need firefox) and type in C:documents and settings/username/desktop/file.bat is the normal area. I have yet to test it- too lazy and I have only been on the computer 4 times (office 3 times, supervision in a comp. lab once. Will when I get a chance though

This article is gold-dust to me, I've just written a script that allows me to use the cmd at school, and I recently found UltraVNC lurking in the program files. Looks like its time to dig up a floppy :D

Thanks alot!

I did this net send command many times today, and of course, I was so stupid, not to change the name of the PC on the network, so I got traced in the time the first message popped up.. So when the teachers found out who it was, I got this message: "If you'r lucky, then we'll let you go with a warning. If you're unlucky, then you'll be banned for the PC's on the school the rest of this year." And i were lucky, I got a warning, and a message to my parents.

If I just had changed that fucking name of the PC, then everything would've been easyier :D

So always remember to change the name of the PC, before you go do some commands ;)

haha, that is funny.

Unfortunately the school i went to had a very high security level, they used novell and they bolcked/disabled everything, I did manage to open command prompt easily, but they had blocked netsend, (for the short time that is was not blocked it was really fune :), I also managed to get around site filters, but i want to know if anyone knew how to access novel etc, or microsoft share point, or synchroneyes, or ingot, etc

I keep seeing "hack your school" articles here and on HTS, and I can't help but think that there is a lot of hopelessly insecure schools around. At my school, all programs off C: except those on a very short list are blocked, as well as every program on a flash drive, or your network drive. You can't even get access to C: drive, and when you do, you can't write any files there. This makes all sorts of fun things nearly impossible.

Mostly we try to bypass the internet censors. There's not much you can do with the computers themselves, but the internet uses a blacklist.

I do know a guy who booted linux of a CD, retrieved the password hashes, and cracked them at home. Took him a week, but he got the admin password. I would take a laptop with Cain installed and use that, but I don't have a laptop.

Just more proof that admins in school have no flucking idea what they're doing. A truly competent admin would have disabled context menus in Windows and IE, blocked visibility and access of the C: drive, and disabled removable media and CD-Roms. Problem solved… but, still good reading for people who DIDN'T know it.

Cheese sorry man…but the command propmt isnt blocked but doing anything cool is like i can get into comamnd prompt but can really do anything sooo pointless…..

ok… i know a few fun things to do with .ba files (i don't know why Mr. Cheese didn't mention them… ether they "aren't important", or he forgot…)

ok- i was told that anything the CMD prompt can do, can be entered into notepad and saved as *.bat… so if you enter "notepad" (without quotes), it opens notepad… im thinking that if you enter "net send (message)" and save it as a .bat file, when you open it, it will execute it

my school has the ability to watch our screens take over our screens which means then can freeze them so they can see what we are doing so makes life 10x more harder :( but when i go back in September i will try all of these will be very fun thanks :D

you can easily diable the school's monitoring programs and also enable things like net send if you right click 'my computer' and click 'manage' and then go to services. At my school, my friend and i kept getting around the security, so now the admin has it so that programs can even be blocked if you try to open them with cmd.

alot of schools disable right click on desktop

My school is very new and supposedly has "the best computer security in Canada". My friends had bets on how long before I cracked their security…Three days it turned out. They had Faronics Deepfreeze and Anti-executable. Smart. I brought my Ubuntu LiveCD and guess what! Booting from a CD was NOT blocked. I disabled faronics and rebooted. Done! Easy as that. Windows Security doesn't mean shit if you don't use Windows. They can't figure out how everybody is playing Halo, I covered up my tracks, you can't even tell the software is gone. I also uncovered an open FTP. ftp://sja.ednet.ns.ca. Anonymous access is allowed. School blueprints and everything.

There are probably a million ways to hack your school (or at least my school). But my advice would be to find a different target when possible. Your school just has too much information on you, and if they find a trail leading to you, it will be too easy to follow up.
