Pixel Stretch
Pixel Stretch
Ok the first thing that you need to do is create a new file that is 500x125, and set the content to transparent. Then create 2 new layers and set them to overlay. Now Filter> Render> Clouds, on to all of the layers. Now draw with some grunge brushes on to them in black(brushes can be found at photoshopbrushes.com).
You should now have something like this.
Now to find a render. Go to planetrenders.net to get the one you want.
If your render is too big, resize it, like I did. I also flipped it so it would look better in the sig. Now we want to drag the render onto our canvas and place it in the spot that looks best.
You should now have something like this.
Now it is time for the pixel stretch. First make sure that your render's layer is selected in the layer palette. Now choose the Single Column Marquee tool (its under the Rectanguler select tool). Now click somewhere on your render and a column will be selected. Copy it (Ctrl + C), the paste it again (Ctrl + V). Now drag that layer to the bottom of the layers palette.
Now click on the Move tool and check the box at the top that says "Show Transform Controls." Now click the box in the center and drag the layer sideways.
You should now have something like this.
That is a little too bright for me, so I created a new layer of black and brought it to the top, set it to overlay, and then made the opacity 48% (but experiment with it to see what looks best with your sig).
You should now have something like this.
Now all we have left to do is put our name in there. The font I will be using is called "Demonized" which can be downloaded at dafont.com
This is my final outcome.
P.S. If you want text like mine do this:
The color I used for my font is #f71414. The size was 30 pt.
Drop Shadow: Default settings.
Bevel & Emboss: Default settings, except I changed the highlight mode color to #e1b839.
Satin: Default settings, except change distance to 25 pixels.
Stroke: Default settings, except changed color to Black and had a 2 pixel border.
For final reference here is a copy of my layers palette.
Well that is my tutorial on Pixel stretching, I hope you enjoyed reading it and that you learned something in the process. :)
Please rate, and if anyone sees any spelling errors please tell me. Happy Photoshopping.

What a dumb comment, "Search the net for a tutorial on pixel-stretch and make sure nobody's done it before you make your own!", practically every "new" tutorial is a re-write of another one. Good job man, simple yet always effective.:whoa:

Well that's a bit exadurated don't you think. Just find it rather odd how the zine included it. I might write an article on a keylogger in vb t-metal. Just for you. Prick.

You're going to write an article on how to make a totally useless and detectable keylogger in your own shitty VB code? Fantastic, I support you in your attempt to un-educate others. Just don't be mad when I include optimizations to your code in my comments as well as a suggestion on how to do it in a language where you can included features to actually have a chance at making it undetectable. :ninja: :happy:

If you were on the ball T-Metal, you would realise that was referring to your problem with a previous article written on this site. Does it feel good to have wasted so much time typing out such tripe?

Also… Copy it (Ctrl + C), the paste it again (Ctrl + P).
When have you pasted with Ctrl+P ?

-The_Flash-: You constantly disappoint me with your lack of ability to distinguish sarcasm in my posts. I thought the several smilies would be an indication to let you know that I know full well what you were intending by your post, but apparently not. So all I can say is.. I'm disappointed.. ;):|:(:o:pB):D:@:happy::ninja::xx::radio::whoa::wow::right::matey::evil:

Lol, you are so contradictory in every statement you make, I'm just gonna let this drop now because it is utterly pointless to argue with a stubborn prick who doesn't know anything and resorts to pathetic attempts at sounding "grown-up".

erh.., this is completely off-topic, please move your fight to the pm's or msn-convo's or something. :X
