Real-time source modification through Opera ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This is my first article here at HBH, so kindly try to excuse me for any errors occurred.
I use Opera 9, Firefox 1.5 & IE7 at the same time because each one has unique features which serve different purposes while hacking. Here I’m going to present one of Opera’s features that can be used to avoid the use of JavaScript Injections which can be a lot tricky sometimes.
Opera has a built-in Source Viewer with which the source code can be viewed & edited anytime while browsing & bring changes in real-time to the websites with the help of “RELOAD FROM CACHE” function. This will directly run or load the source from the cache which has been changed by the user. This will definitely save much time than saving the code to the disk, editing it and then again running it.
I know that this is not the right way to hack (if you consider JavaScript injection as the right way). This is also a very poor method comparing to others; nevertheless this function can be easily used in the JavaScript & Basic challenges available here at HBH and in many other cases. Believe it or not, I have completed all the JavaScript challenges in no time just by editing the codes in real-time and not even using one single JavaScript injection.
Advantage:
- Quick editing the source
- Easy to use
- Instant output
- JavaScript injections can be avoided
- Specially suitable for beginners
Disadvantage:
- Not the proper way of hacking
- Can’t be used in all cases
- Sometimes creates unusual results in the webpage after the desired goal is achieved.
